What materials are used in Schleich products?

Schleich places the highest focus on kids' safety. All Schleich products are manufactured of plastics and paints that comply with toy manufacturing rules and regulations in more than 60 countries. More specifically, our products (including all materials and chemical components) comply with all Rules, Bans, Standards or Regulations applicable under the CPSIA or any other act enforceable by the CPSIA including: ASTMF 963-16; Illinois State Public Act 097-0612; US California Prop 65.

Our figurines are made using various types of plastic and paint. We mostly use polyvinyl chloride (PVC), thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs), and acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), as well as other plastics commonly used in toys.

All Schleich suppliers must meet the exact Schleich quality standards for the material used in our products. The colorful paints for all products are tailored to the type of plastic to make sure they’ll survive every adventure intact. All Schleich products are saliva-proof and sweat-proof, as well as abrasion-resistant, meaning they’re safe for your most rough-and-tumble play adventures.
